Modalities
WHAT MODALITIES ARE ALLOWED WHEN WE TALK ABOUT SELF-CONSUMPTION?
SPAIN
There are two modalities according to Royal Decrees-Law 15/2018, October 5th, and 244-2019, 5th April, 2019. The non-surplus modality in which the user consumes all the energy he produces and the modality with surpluses, in which the user, in addition to being a producer and consumer of energy, can discharge their surplus unsused to the electricity grid, selling them through a contract with a supplier.
COLOMBIA
By Law 1715, it is possible to build photovoltaic installations to save on electricity invoices. The allowed modality is Net Metering that allows a consumer to connect to the local power grid and inject power when not consumed. The injected energy will be deducted from your supplier’s invoice.
PANAMÁ
Photovoltaic installations can be built through Law AN No. 5399-ELEC to save on electricity invoices. The allowed modality is Net Metering that allows a consumer to connect to the local network and inject power when not consumed. The injected energy will be deducted from your supplier’s invoice.
MÉXICO
Through the Electricity Industry Act (LIE) it is possible to build photovoltaic installations to save on electricity invoices. The allowed modality is Net Metering that allows a consumer to connect to the local power grid and inject power when not consumed. The injected energy will be deducted from your supplier’s invoice.
